5 Terror Suspects are Doctors

The number of doctors being held as suspects in the London terror probe has been upgraded to 5. Three of them are fully licensed, while two are still in training. By the time officials will be done with their investigation, I’m guessing we’ll have a fully staffed hospital. Why are these doctors not working in hospitals? I’m not sure either, but I have a hunch. I think Al Qaeda provides better medical and dental coverage.

Among the suspects arrested in the terror probe, 3 have been identified as doctors. One of the men, Bilal Abdulla, a doctor, was the man who rammed a flaming SUV into a terminal at Glasgow airport. Another suspect, Dr. Mohammed Asha, was arrested along with his wife Saturday. His home was later searched by authorities.

This story continues to become more and more intriguing. According to the Associated Press, Asha was considered by family to be a very religious person. In that regard, the puzzle pieces don’t seem to fit. I’m having trouble myself understanding what would drive these three people with respected professions to do such a thing.

British officials arrested 2 people Saturday in connection with the terrorist plot that involved a jeep being rammed into a terminal at Glasgow airport. Authorities believe that this and the other two terrorist plots are connected. As of now, the terror alert has been raised to “critical”; the highest stage. I was speculating that some arrests would be made soon. Two people is a fantastic start, but I’m sure we’re dealing with possibly 10, 20 maybe even 30 people that could have been involved.
