C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger Hero

C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger, a pilot with US Airlines, managed to successfully land an Airbus A320 commercial airliner into the Hudson River after the plane began to malfunction. Passengers on board of C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger’s flight, as well as his family members, are hailing him a hero. C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger now even has his own fan club based on the popular social-networking site facebook. Sullenberger’s wife, although previously convinced by Sullenberger that incidents of such magnitudes are rare, was in shock when she first discovered what had occurred. She learned of the incident after she was contacted by C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger following the incident.

People are attributing C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger’s heroism in yesterday’s accident to several things. For one, it is said that Sullenberger is an extremely calm individual, able to deal with incidents in an indifferent manner. His wife claims that on the job, he always like to maintain a very controlled environment.

Not many pilots are capable of successfully landing a plane in water. C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger was once a fighter pilot. In addition, he currently manages his own consulting firm. This, when combined with his extensive experience in flying commercial airplanes, made him the perfect fit for handling yesterday’s disaster.

C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger managed to land US Airways flight 1549 (which at the time had 150 people on board) over the Hudson river. He received praise today form New York’s mayor, as well as a barrage of other sources. C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger has been part of the US Airways team since 1980, and prior to that was involved in the Air Force. At one time, he also probed air incidents.

Some internet users not on the flight C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger managed to land started a facebook group that praised the experienced pilot for his successful landing. Mayor Michael Bloomberg similarly applauded C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger, claiming he had done a “masterful job” in handling the situation.

Many of the passangers aboard the US Airways flight attribute their lives to C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger’s expertise in flying. Most agree that C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger did a spectacular job in landing the plane.

We ourselves are glad that C. B. “Sully” Sullenberger was on-board the plane, and couldn’t imagine what the situation could have been otherwise. We applaud him for his heroism and truly hopes he continues to fly (and this instills a safe feeling with airline passangers).
