By admin on February 5, 2009 | Listed under Entertainment, featured | 8 Comments |

UPDATE: One of our readers spoke to a staff member at B97 (Annette Wade) and was informed that they could not disclose further details surrounding the suspension. However, both Stevie-G and Teapot are expected to re-appear on the radio tomorrow evening.

News is spreading around the internet like wildfire that Stevie-G and Teapot, two radio personalities from the B97 radio station were supsended. As we always do, we conducted a bit of research on Stevie-G and Teapot and have yet to find any substantial information on why this suspension took place. Some internet surfers have gone to Yahoo Answers to try to find why Stevie-G and Teapot were suspended from their radio station. Suspensions have grown quite common in radio, and the most recent we can recall is one involving a young lady who died after consuming gross amounts of water. Whether or not the Stevie-G and Teapot suspension entials such drastic circumstances remains to be seen.

If anyone has details surrounding the Stevie-G and Teapot suspension from the B97 radio station, please feel free to chime in by leaving a comment below. We can’t imagine what sort of impact this is having on regular listeners and would like to provide them with some concrete information about the Stevie-G and Teapot suspension.

I emailed B97 and Annette Wade answered me. She said that they are not allowed to discuss what happened because it is company policy, but they do plan for them to come back on the radio at 5pm tomorrow evening.

    Hope this helps!!!

If I remember correctly, TPot made a comment about “doping up your kids” to make time to watch some mundane tv event of some sort.

Though I could be wrong, the comment did make me kindof raise my eyebrow. I find it fairly memorable.

I can no longer listen to the afternoon swirl because I moved to a part of Mississippi that can’t pick it up, but I do still try and keep up with things. Although I really would love to know the details I understand and respect their position. I personally think that they can’t possibly say anything that deserving of a suspension. (they are not Howard Stern) I love Stevie G and T-Pot and I think they make B-97 enjoyable. I look forward to hearing them when I do return to New Orleans for visits and I hope everything works out!! (about doping your kids up….I’m sure it was said for a laugh! You can look at pics of their beautiful happy little girl and know they are excellent parents!!) People just want to find things to complain about and it is unfortunate that it was their day to be picked on!!

I heard T-Pot mention something about Diddy attempting to go into a night club recently and was not allowed in because he refused to be searched. T-Pot said something to the effect that it was because he had guns on him. I can’t remember exactly whether it was one of her E on the B news items (I thought it was), but she definitely said it. Slander people! If something cannot be proven in a court of law, you have no right saying it and you can be sued for slander. I went on B-97′s website and her E on the B items do not include this item about Diddy. Interesting.

she did mention the thing about diddy but it was on her celebrity update. i wouldn’t call it slander, but speculation, and with all the crap they say about other celebrities, i don’t think both she and stevie g would get suspended for that, unless diddy’s guns were aiming at the right person…

If every case of “Slander” as defined by NoName were suspended or fired or whatnot, then we would have NO People Magazine, no Seventeen, none of those gossip things, because those people would be fired and sued and whatnot. It’s called Freedom of Speech. People claimed President Obama was the ANTICHRIST on national television, and THAT was okay.
