Child pedophile ring dismembered

In a joint effort, British and U.S. authorities crushed a worldwide Internet pedophile ring where members streamed videos of children being taken advantage of. Authorities, over a ten month period, investigated over 700 suspects, 200 of them from Britain. The investigation saved 31 children, some only months old. Authorities were able to trace the group to an internet chatroom known as “Kids the Light of Our Lives”.

In the chatroom, officials found documentation of sexual abuse in the form of images and video. Timothy Cox, the host of the chatroom admitted to nine counts of holding and distributing the disturbing media. When investigators examined his computer, they found nearly 76,000 inappropriate images which did not include the nearly 11,500 images investigators found he distributed to other users. Authorities got a big break in their investigation when Cox’s so-called “lieutenant,” Gordon Mackintosh attempted to revive the chatroom after a period of no activity.

This allowed police to arrest him, and take over operations of the chatroom. Over a three day period, police were able to amass an enormous list of offenders in the chatroom that were trading images. This story really instills some fear in you. Who the hell could imagine that so many pedophiles are lurking the interenet and posting such disturbing content? This comes as quite a shock to me. I would have never guessed that there would be this many people in ONE ring exploiting children to their delight. Absolutely horrific.
