Bill Gwatney, an Arkansas democratic official has been admitted to the hospital after a gunman opened fire in the Democratic Party’s headquarters in Little Rock, AK.

Witness accounts stipulate that a caucasian male made his way into the building at which point he asked where he could find Bill Gwatney. The secretary told the man that Gwatney was not available. The ignored the secretary and made his way towards Bill Gwatney’s office. Once in, he fired multiple shots inside. Afterwards, the gunman fled the scene.

A clerk at a local flower shop said she witnessed Gwatney’s secretary flee into the shop to call for help.

It is unclear whether Bill Gwatney was shot three times. It is believed that only one of the bullets hit him. After the shooting, Gwatney was taken to the hospital. A short time later, police found and fired at the suspected gunman. While he was taken into custody, his condition is not yet known.

Hillary and Bill Clinton have commented on the shooting, saying they were equally shocked by the horrific event. Both hope that Bill Gwatney will be able to quickly recover.

What motivations the gunman may have had still remain unclear. However, we too are quite surprised by the horrific nature of this incident. We hope that Bill Gwatney is able to recover from this nightmare and wish his family the best.
