An activist that is currently holding persons hostage at the Discovery Channel headquarters in Maryland is receiving attention worldwide as the public waits to see how the situation unfolds. The activist, James Lee, is believed to be armed with some sort of explosive device and possibly a gun. His online website, SaveThePlanetProtest.com, documents a list of tasks he would like the Discovery Channel to execute in the pursuit of a solution for global warming, rising unemployment, and population overgrowth. At the time of this writing, SaveThePlanetProtest.com was inaccessible to due heavy loads of traffic on the site’s server.

Officials who are involved in negotiations with James Lee have released very few details. They have not elaborated as to what they know about the explosive device nor have they shared an in-depth explanation of the suspect’s motives. Thousands of people who occupy the Discovery Channel headquarters on a daily basis have been evacuated, as has a daycare center that is located on the top floors of the building. There are still conflicting reports as to how many hostages the gunman has captured and whether or not any form of gunfire was exchanged.

Based on the readings from the SaveThePlanetProtest.com domain, it is quite evident that the activist has some good intentions. He is featured in photographs protesting his cause, although it seems that he had to change up his tactics to increase the response. Focus must be given on how people can live WITHOUT giving birth to more filthy human children since those new additions continue pollution and are pollution. 2. All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. In those programs’ places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it.

3. All programs promoting War and the technology behind those must cease. There is no sense in advertising weapons of mass-destruction anymore. Instead, talk about ways to disassemble civilization and concentrate the message in finding SOLUTIONS to solving global military mechanized conflict. Again, solutions solutions instead of just repeating the same old wars with newer weapons. Also, keep out the fraudulent peace movements. They are liars and fakes and had no real intention of ending the wars. ALL OF THEM ARE FAKE! On one hand, they claim they want the wars to end, on the other, they are demanding the human population increase. World War II had 2 Billion humans and after that war, the people decided that tripling the population would assure peace. WTF??? STUPIDITY! MORE HUMANS EQUALS MORE WAR!

4. Civilization must be exposed for the filth it is. That, and all its disgusting religious-cultural roots and greed. Broadcast this message until the pollution in the planet is reversed and the human population goes down! This is your obligation. If you think it isn’t, then get hell off the planet! Breathe Oil! It is the moral obligation of everyone living otherwise what good are they??

5. Immigration: Programs must be developed to find solutions to stopping ALL immigration pollution and the anchor baby filth that follows that. Find solutions to stopping it. Call for people in the world to develop solutions to stop it completely and permanently. Find solutions FOR these countries so they stop sending their breeding populations to the US and the world to seek jobs and therefore breed more unwanted pollution babies. FIND SOLUTIONS FOR THEM TO STOP THEIR HUMAN GROWTH AND THE EXPORTATION OF THAT DISGUSTING FILTH! (The first world is feeding the population growth of the Third World and those human families are going to where the food is! They must stop procreating new humans looking for nonexistant jobs!)

Find ways so that people don’t build more housing pollution which destroys the environment to make way for more human filth! Juan-Carlos Cruz is being held on $5 million dollars bail in Los Angeles after being apprehended by authorities for alleged solicitation to commit murder. Cruz, a star from Food Network’s “Calorie Commando” is alleged to have attempted to recruit a homeless many to carry out a murder. The man alerted authorities, who managed to nab the TV star at a dog park in Cheviot Hills. Police are continuing to remain tight lipped about the investigation, not letting as much as a detail pertaining to the intended target or the motive leak out. According to the Los Angeles Times, those who knew Cruz are having trouble accepting the possibility that he would have any roll in the alleged murder plot. Neighbors identified Cruz as a kind and well-intentioned man. According to them, he was also immersed in religion.

Cruz’ television show featured him cooking family favorites while trimming off the calories. The show ran for nearly forty episodes before it was pulled by Food Network. Cruz was apparently inspired by his drastic weight loss on the show Discovery Health Body Challenge to create the low calorie foods. He received his formal culinary education from California Culinary Academy, and went to become a celebrity chef. Prior to creating his own show, Cruz ran an online businesses under the domain Pastrydude.com.

A Glendale, California student that mysteriously disappeared after leaving her family’s home for a morning jog Wednesday has been found unharmed in the city of Merced in Northern California. Officials organized a search party Wednesday to search the area where Nancy Salas, a former UCLA student, was known to jog, although were unable to come across any clues. University officials told investigators that the 22 year old hadn’t been actively attending UCLA since 2008, despite the fact that her family members were told otherwise. Salas was said to be graduating with a degree in sociology this year.

According to officials, Salas entered an establishment and asked an employee to contact police, who were told that she had been kidnapped by a dark haired, skinny individual who appeared to be in his 50s, according to the Los Angeles Times. Police were suspicious that Salas could be living a double life, using the kidnapping as a cover up. Salas later admitted to fabricating the story of her kidnapping, having taken a bus to Merced. Salas cited pressure from her family in graduating from UCLA as the main motivating factor.

Police officials initially indicated that they would press charges if they found Salas had staged the kidnapping, although now the Glendale PD claims that no illegality was committed in their jurisdiction. It is up to officials in Merced to determine what action, if any, need be taken.

According to eye witness accounts, the boy, named Nick Pearton, had met up with the gang earlier at a nearby park. For whatever reason, his relationship with the group of boys turned confrontational and they began chasing him down the street equipped with knives and baseball bats. It appears none of the witnesses stepped in to try and stop what was about to unfold. Shortly after the incident, officials were able to apprehend some boys from the neighborhood, although no identifying information was given.

The story spread about the internet a bit quicker than expected due to the fact that Pearton’s girlfriend is named Jamie Bieber. It appears that people are now mistakenly guessing that Jamie Bieber is related to Justin Bieber, the teenage music sensation which swept the industry by storm. Most reports are denying that any relation exists, however no official word has been given. What we can say is that our hearts are with the victim’s family and we hope that the police officials in London do everything in their power to apprehend and prosecute those that were involved.

Douglas Spinkr, a former entrepreneur turned cocaine smuggler is facing some serious charges after officials in Washington invaded his farm which was purported to have catered to individuals looking to have sexual intercourse with animals. Spinkr is currently behind bars for violating his parole in charges stemming from his cocaine trafficking endeavours. During the raid, investigators seized a number of animals including horses and mice. Some had to be put to sleep due to the apparent abuse they endured. Officials were also able to recover photographs depicting various acts of bestiality. An unidentified man was also arrested on suspicion of having had sex with at least three dogs.

Most of us would agree that this is some peculiar behavior for a man that had a successful background in business during the 90s, where he oversaw the acquisition and liquidation of various business entities. When Spink filed for bankruptcy in 2002, he turned to drug trafficking to earn a living. He fell under the radar of authorities after having been caught in possession of nearly 400 pounds of cocaine back in 2005. Although Spink’s attorney denies that there was any wrongdoing on his client’s behalf, Spink’s website is chock full of potentially incriminating evidence. On the site the former entrepreneur assures visitors to his farm, known as the Exitpoint Stallions Limitee, that their “deeply-rooted instincts” will not be resisted at the establishment. There are not many ways to construe this promise of not “[walling] off sexual energy.”

We can only hope that the justice system shines in this case and that Spink is placed in custody for a considerable amount of time if he is indeed found guilty. The number of customers his enterprise has catered to throughout the years is currently unknown. Hopefully officials will be able to track down these clients and have them charged accordingly. It’s disturbing think that such people live amongst us.

Investment firm Goldman Sachs is once again in the spotlight after the Securities and Exchange Commission has filed suit against Fabrice Tourre, the giant’s vice president, and the firm itself for apparently defrauding investors. The firm forged a $15 million dollar deal with Paulson & Co, a hedge fund which cherry picked securities backed by subprime loans which were due to plummet with the impending mortgage crisis and marketed them to clients. In the mean time, the hedge fund invested in credit default swaps, which would have allowed the firm to collect when the subprime borrowers defaulted on their loans. The hedge fund manager behind this entire scheme is estimated to have earned $1 billion after the subprime crisis went into full swing. The extent of deception and corruption in this story is truly remarkable, and we can only hope that the responsible persons will be held liable to the full extent of the law. This scheme that was spearheaded by Sachs is believed to have expedited the downward spiral of the economy.

Goldman Sachs, once considered a “too big to fail” institution was bailed out by taxpayers in 2008 at a total cost of over $12 billion. The firm received some backlash after issuing $14 billion worth of bonuses to executives a short time thereafter. It has since repaid the bailout money back to taxpayers.

It appears that many people have been in the dark about an apparent accident that Laura Bush was involved in back in 1963. The former first lady seemed to have a squeaky clean image, so it’s surprising that this didn’t raise any flags for some of you. The story goes that Bush was driving with a friend when she ran a stop sign. Unfortunately for her, there was someone else in the intersection at the time – former classmate Michael Dutton. The impact killed Dutton. As you might imagine, the accident took a severe emotional toll on Bush, not to mention the family of the victim. She has not publicly spoken about the incident, and who’s to blame her. A police investigation uncovered that neither of the drivers were impaired by alcohol or any other substance, and therefore nobody was held at fault for the incident.

While Laura Bush killed a guy makes for a good headline, it omits key facts from the incident. We can only hope that people take a note from this unfortunate incident and realize that negligent driving is a serious problem. It is not clear what Bush may have been distracted by, but we do know for a fact that there are plenty of modern-day distractions to keep drivers’ eyes off the road. The text message which your friend sent you can wait, as can your roomate who’s calling you to ask where you left the bag of Doritos. Keep your eyes on the road and drive safely.

Although this story is disturbing in itself, there appears to be a far lengthier history within the USA Swimmers organization when it comes to sexual misconduct. There have been nearly thirty five incidents of sexual wrongdoing in the past decade, all of which resulted in permanent bans for the coaches that were involved. It is unclear how many of them faced criminal charges following their departure from the organization.

CBS featured the story of Nada Prouty Sunday night in its series known as 60 minutes. Nada Prouty was once working for the FBI and CIA and was credited for her work in combating terrorism, being responsible for nabbing the ringleader in a terror plot. Despite her achievements as a federal official, Prouty fell under the suspicion of the government when they discovered her brother-in-law, a Lebanese man who operated a restaurant. During the investigation which was spearheaded by the Bush Administration in an effort to crackdown on terrorist financing, it was discovered that Prouty’s brother-in-law had ties to the terrorist group known as Hezbollah. Although Prouty denied that she had any close ties with the man, officials in Detroit were set on pinning evil deeds on her. When they were able to uncover little evidence in supporting their allegations, they discovered that Prouty had been involved in an illegal green card scheme years earlier. Prouty ended up pleading guilty to the charges, due in large part to her inability to handle the costs of legal recourse.

Considering the facts of the case, more and more people are pushing for president Obama to pardon this innocent lady. The Bush administration seems to have carried out a personal vendetta against Prouty for whatever reason, but all the facts point to her innocence. Hopefully we can entrust our president to uphold the element of justice which we expect from our legal system.

There is an unconfirmed report circulating online at the moment that the body of Paige Birgfeld has been found. Birgfeld, a Grand Junction, Colorado resident, disappeared in June of 2007 and with little for police to go by, the case went cold. Birgfeld, a 34-year old mother was headed to see her ex-husband the same day she vanished. According to reports, the two were in talks about reviving their relationship. The following day, Birgfeld’s automobile was discovered ablaze in a parking lot. Police weren’t able to recover many clues from the scene. When a search team was dispatched to try and locate any of Birgfeld’s belongings, volunteers were able to recover membership cards and the like from a Highway median. Eventually, a gun was also discovered. Since that time, police have come across very little in the case, and as we might imagine, this poor woman’s family continues to wonder what might have happened.

Birgfeld was a successful business women that operated a successful acupuncture business up until her disappearance. Perhaps her successful career could have made her a prime target for criminals. We will have to wait and see whether or not the Paige Birgfeld Body Found story is confirmed. We can’t imagine how eager Birgfeld’s family must be to finally get some closure in this horrible disappearance. Updates as they become available.
